The type 118 series "Big Bore" Bearing assembly was born out of the success of the Metcar® Type 100 series bearing assemblies. Our customers asked for an assembly with the features of the Type 100 series but with the capacity to accommodate higher loads and larger shaft diameters. The 118 series can accept shafts to 2.000" in diameter. The 118 series frame utilizes Metcar's unique clip lock design to retain the bearing cartridge in the frame. Cartridges can be supplied either plain or with thrust faces to accept end loading. Used in continuous dryers and on conveyor applications, the universal design helps design engineers and maintenance personnel get the job done.

Special Features:
Supplied in all Metcar® bearing grades
Self-lubricating and maintenance free
Assembly automatically compensates for misalignment and shaft deflection
Operates dry or submerged
Bearings can be rotated 180° for increased life
Shaft sizes to 2" diameter. Custom sizes available
Standard Bore sizes 1 ½" and 1 ¾"
Bearing cartridges available in thrust or plain type
