1.	Choose a hanger frame. The 118 Series offers only one type of frame. This frame is symmetrical. Shaft rotation as viewed from the end of the shaft closest to the assembly is determined by the arrow on the frame at time of installation.
2.	Choose a bearing cartridge - keep in mind that the 118 series bearing cartridges will only fit in the 1118 Series Hanger Frame. Series 118 Cartridges are only offered in solid type. Part # B-119 is 2" long and Part # B-118 is 2 3/8" long with thrust faces to accept end loading.
3.	Choose a grade - if you do not know the applicable grade, a grade can be determined based on the maximum temperature and other operating conditions of the application.
4.	Specify the bore size or shaft size required for the application.
5.	A CL-118 Clip Lock is necessary for each assembly to hold the bearing cartridge in place.
