When ordering a Type 700 Series Bearing Assembly, the following information is needed to determine the correct assembly for your application:

1. Choose a hanger frame suitable for your application. All 700 Series frames are symetrical, therefore shaft rotation does not need to be specified when ordering.
2. Choose a bearing cartridge - The standard length of the 700 Series Half Bearing is 1 ½ Long and will be supplied this way unless otherwise specified. Other lengths may be specified for the 700-1 Assembly only.
3. Choose a grade - if you do not know the applicable grade, a grade can be determined based on the maximum temperature and other operating conditions of the application.
4. Specify the bore size or shaft size required for the application.
5. A 700- EZ Clip Spring is necessary for each assembly to hold the bearing cartridge in place on the 700-1 Assembly only. The EZ clip spring allows for one hand access to the bearing cartridge.

Although METCAR® does not offer E commerce, if you have this information available you can email or fax your inquires to our office. Be sure to include:

  1. Frame style
  2. Length of bearing cartridge if other than 1 ½" Long For 700-1 Assembly
  3. Grade specification
  4. Shaft size
  5. 700-EZ Clip Spring, if a 700-1 Assembly is ordered
